Dear Nissan,

Last week I was driving my 2006 Nissan Xterra from Phoenix to Salt Lake City. The roads were wet due to rainy weather. I hydroplaned and flipped the car on the highway.

Unfortunately, my Xterra was totaled. This is quite sad to me because I just purchased it this summer and it is an amazing vehicle. While the truck is completely busted up, I am not. I miraculously walked away from the wreck without a scratch. I have a sore back from the impact, and the ordeal has been emotional, but I will be forever grateful for the safety my truck offered me.

When I called my mom to tell her the Xterra was totaled, she commented that it gave its life for me. That sounds dramatic, but it really is true.

Thank you, Nissan, for building a car that protected my life when I needed it. I probably won't be able to buy another Xterra right now for financial reasons, but I would recommend it to anyone. I hope someday to be able to afford another one. I'll miss it dearly, but I'm grateful that I'm okay.

This form won't allow me to attach a picture, but I really wish you could see the car. You would understand what I mean.

Thanks again, Nissan!

Warm Regards,
Michelle Cole

  3. I really enjoyed reading through your blog (I saw the link on Patrick Payne's Facebook page). I have written a few letters myself over the years but thought about writing many more that never happened. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know that I think your blog is delightful. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more in the future as I am now a follower.
P.S. I'm glad you weren't seriously injured in your accident! What a scary thing to have happen.
